Gwarki are one of the largest cyclical cultural and historical events in Tarnowskie Góry. That event refers to the privilege granted to the town in 1599, under which the town of miners (gwarki) had a right to organize "games and comedies" at the fair on the first Sunday after St Giles' Day. Gwarki are organized by the Tarnowskie Góry Cultural Centre and the Municipal Office of Tarnowskie Góry. As part of the celebration of the Gwarki there are organized also sports, cultural and entertainment events. Among the guests of this event are the main stars of the polish music and entertainment scene.
